Frackman tells the story of Dayne ‘Frackman’ Pratzky’s struggle against international gas companies - he and his neighbours have unwittingly become the centre of a massive industrial landscape and they have little power to fight the wishes of the $200 billion industry. After the gas companies arrived to exploit the coal seam gas trapped beneath his land, Dayne learnt he had no legal recourse to stop their activity. Galvanised to take a stand, the accidental activist united an unlikely alliance of farmers and radicals to save their community, unexpectedly becoming part of a global network in the process.  Dayne has embarked on a journey that transformed him from conservative pig-shooter to sophisticated global activist as the Frackman. Five years in the making, he meets the people drawn into a battle that is crossing the ideological divide, bringing together a peculiar alliance of farmers, activists and political conservatives, encountering love, tragedy and triumph along the way.
